Today sees the birth of Tasker Insurance Brokers Ltd (TIB).
With March 29 as effectivity date, TIB is the merger of Tasker Insurance Group’s (TIG) retail brokers Maestro Insurance Services Ltd (MIS) and Tasker Southeast Ltd (TSE). It provides commercial lines insurance and specialises in motor fleet, construction, manufacturing, and warehousing. Through niche brands The Guest House Insurer and Pro Publican, TIB also covers the hospitality, pub, and leisure market.
In time the consolidated unit will consist of several retail broker hubs across the UK, according to TIG. Manchester-based MIS was acquired by the group in 2012.
“The merger of our two specialist retail brokers helps to strengthen our place in the market along with our proposition moving forward,” said TIG chief executive Robert Organ. “While we are in talks with firms who are interested in joining us to become our hub offices elsewhere in the country, we’d welcome the chance to have those conversations with others.”
TIB acting managing director Ann Bowyer cited both offices’ “great strengths” in different areas, adding that they have streamlined their approach in the last three months. New sales manager Chris Williams has also been working with the teams across the offices amid expansion plans.
