After more than 15 years at Swiss Re, where she was senior underwriter for renewables, Deborah Duss (pictured) is making the switch to Hyperion Insurance Group’s RKH Specialty.
Bolstering its marine, energy, and construction practice, the independent broker has created a new role within the power and renewables team – tapping Duss to serve as divisional director and bringing her sector expertise to come up with new offerings and to support the growth of the renewables business.
In her previous capacity, Duss had an understanding of all aspects of risk at all stages of construction, operation, or decommissioning.
“Renewables is one of RKH’s fastest-growing areas, as the adoption of large amounts of variable renewable energy poses challenges to the management and operation of energy systems,” noted Paul Redgate, managing director of marine, energy, and construction.
He added: “We already provide solutions to clients at every stage of the process and in every aspect of operation, and Deborah’s experience and perspective will add a new dimension to our offering, as we look to develop new products and services.”
