Larger and more modern – that’s how over-50s travel insurance provider Staysure described its new office in Northampton.
Officially unveiled by Councillor Tony Ansell, the Britannia House site aims to provide a spacious and more dynamic working environment amid what Staysure called “an ever-increasing” demand for its offering. A subsidised canteen and a social hub for the firm’s workforce can also be found in the new premises.
Last week’s exclusive opening ceremony was hosted by Staysure founder and chairman Ryan Howsam and chief executive Julian Kearney. Aside from the Northampton mayor, the event also featured special guest Gary Orr. The Scottish Senior Open champion set the par in a putting tournament organised as part of the office launch.
“Remaining a local business as a part of the community in Northampton was a fundamental part of our search for new premises; the town has always been our home and we wanted it to remain that way,” commented Howsam. “Having seen such success and significant growth over the years, we needed to expand our office and modernise the workspace to accommodate a flourishing company.
“Choosing always to employ the best in the business meant we had the task on our hands to create an environment fit for those employees, which is exactly what we’ve done at Britannia House. I’d like to personally thank the Mayor and Mayoress of Northampton and Gary Orr for being part of our special opening event and look forward to what the future brings.”
The move saw Staysure initiate a local recruitment drive to snap up 200 executives for its sales and service consultant teams.
“It’s fantastic that such a nationally known business chooses to remain at home in Northampton,” said Ansell. “I’m always keen to support local companies and the fact that Staysure provides such a significant number of jobs for the local community is hugely positive for our wonderful town.
“The new office space offers a fantastic environment for the business to continue to grow, and I wish them every success in their new home.”
