Three-decade industry veteran Graham Walker has been appointed as Keychoice commercial lines relationship manager at SSP.
Strengthening its Keychoice insurance distribution business, the insurance technology giant said Walker will drive the panel forward by working closely with providers in developing a ‘best-of-breed’ solution for brokers and insurers. The key hire worked at a family-run local brokerage, and has also held several positions in the commercial arm of
Swinton.
According to SSP, a key part of its strategy is the adoption of commercial e-trading, to which it attributed an uptake in volumes. It said commercial e-trading allows brokers to gain multiple quotes from different insurers easier and quicker, with insurers in turn gaining greater access to high street brokers.
“I am delighted to be joining the SSP distribution team at such an exciting time, where development and innovation are at the forefront of every project,” commented Walker. “From a commercial point of view, SSP has a clear vision to increase the range of products available to Keychoice members to help them grow their business.”
Distribution director Ron Atkinson said he is pleased to welcome someone of Walker’s calibre to Keychoice to champion commercial lines.
“He is our fourth new appointment in the last 10 months, as we invest in our team ready for the next phase of growth and evolution,” added Atkinson.
The technology solutions provider works with more than 40% of brokers in the UK.
