The acquisition trail in insurance rarely goes cold and this week is no exception with the fast-growing insurance intermediary Specialist Risk Group (SRG) today unveiling its acquisition of Cheshire Insurance Brokers (CIB). The deal is its fifth of the year and reflects its ongoing commitment to expanding its portfolio and expertise across specialist sectors.
Founded in 2010 by Dominic Leach & Victoria Benito, Northwest-based CIB arranges tailored insurance programmes and is recognised for providing insurance solutions to recruitment agencies internationally, alongside providing cover for commercial & professional businesses and high-net-worth clients in the UK.
In a Press release, SRG highlighted that the acquisition will further strengthen the offering of its retail pillar - Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS).
Commenting on the news, Lee Anderson, deputy CEO of SRG, said: "As soon as I met Dominic, I knew that him and his team would thrive as part of the SRG team. Therefore, I am delighted to welcome Cheshire Insurance Brokers to SRG.”
He added that SRIS has made significant strides in recent years, and with the addition of CIB, the group is looking to build on this success and continue delivering an “outstanding” retail offering to its clients and partners.
MD of CIB added his thoughts on the acquisition and said “Joining forces with SRG is an exciting opportunity for the clients of Cheshire Insurance Brokers. We look forward to leveraging our specialist expertise combined with SRG's resources and network, to continue to provide an outstanding offering and service to our clients."
