Specialist Risk Group (SRG) has announced the acquisition of the ongoing renewal rights from Morton Insurance Brokers, a specialist in private hire and taxi insurance across the UK since 1987.
According to the company, this acquisition strengthens SRG's retail division, Specialist Risk Insurance Solutions (SRIS), and enhances its presence in the UK taxi insurance market.
Morton Insurance Brokers, based in London, is known for providing insurance solutions to private hire and taxi businesses throughout the UK. The firm's expertise in this niche market aligns with SRG's existing capabilities, particularly through Cabsurance, SRIS's specialist business focused on insurance for London Black Cabs.
The integration of Morton Insurance Brokers into SRIS aims to create a more comprehensive proposition for taxi and private hire operators across the UK. This move will also offer these operators access to a broader range of insurance products and a strengthened support system.
Lee Anderson (pictured above), SRG group deputy CEO, stated that the acquisition of Morton Insurance Brokers’ renewal rights enables SRG to expand its footprint in the UK taxi sector, building on the success of its Cabsurance offering.
Anderson also highlighted that the combined expertise of Morton and Cabsurance will allow SRG to offer more tailored insurance solutions to taxi operators across the country.
Adrian Morton, managing director of Morton Insurance Brokers, commented that joining forces with Specialist Risk Group represents an important step for their clients.
Morton expressed enthusiasm for working with the Cabsurance team to develop a leading taxi insurance proposition for fleets and drivers across the UK.
Just recently, SRG also announced its acquisition of Anthony James Insurance Brokers, another deal which seeks to enhance the firm’s retail division.
Established in 2009, Anthony James Insurance Brokers has developed a reputation for offering comprehensive insurance services to businesses across the UK. The firm’s expertise covers a range of sectors, including commercial, corporate, and high-net-worth personal lines, making it a valuable addition to SRG’s portfolio.
