Spring Insure (Spring), a specialist financial and professional lines MGA, has boosted its underwriting team with a host of promotions.
It has promoted Jamie Boyd and Tom Hodgson to senior underwriters based in the Guernsey office. Meanwhile, Jacob Gunn continues his career at the group’s London office as an assistant underwriter.
Spring Insure group CEO Tristan Sargeaunt, who joined Spring in January 2023, has welcomed the promotion spree, adding: “It’s wonderful to be able to share this excellent news. At Spring, we provide a positive environment for training, investment, and career progression; if you’re willing to work hard and be successful, you will receive the recognition you deserve.
“We’re an entrepreneurial business, offering our staff the chance to be part-owners in the company, instilling a supportive culture of togetherness and focusing on the collective success of both Spring and our broker partners. We call this The Spring Effect.”
Boyd is an underwriter with over 15 years of insurance industry experience. He started as an underwriter at Spring in March 2020 after his career as a personal lines broker and a business development executive managing commercial clients for Rossborough.
Meanwhile, Hodgson joined Spring in April 2020 and has become a well-respected and knowledgeable underwriter. He previously held account handler roles at Willis Towers Watson and Gallagher.
Sargeaunt commented: “Tom and Jamie are exceptional underwriters with the drive and determination to progress in their careers. We are excited to see what the future brings as they share their knowledge and experience with the team.”
Gunn joined Spring in October 2021 as an assistant to the underwriting team in London. Over the past 18 months, he has worked his way up to the role of assistant underwriter, where he will be taking greater responsibility for several of his relationships under the guidance of the underwriting team.
Spring will make further announcements about new external appointments joining the group in the coming months.
