Sompo International Holdings has today announced that Maxine Goddard (pictured) has joined its international insurance strategic distribution and development team as senior VP. Goddard joins from Zurich Insurance, where she spent 20 years most recently as director, senior commercial operational business partner.
The business development team, headed up by Brendan Plessis, executive VP, strategic distribution and development, international insurance, will centre on the strategic development of broker and client relationships, maximising profitable growth and potential new business opportunities across London, Europe and Bermuda. In addition to Goddard, joining the team as assistant VP is Rachael Dobie, who comes to Sompo International from Liberty Specialty Markets and Mohiuddin (Moon) Hossen who has been promoted from within Sompo International to the role of projects & strategy analyst.
Commenting on the appointments Plessis noted that the business is continuing to make significant progress in developing across its London and European platforms through better communications, an expanded product offering and the building of wider networks.
