Six insurance and financial planning firms obtained Chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in the first quarter of 2025.

Firms that attain Chartered status agree to uphold the CII’s Code of Ethics and commit to ongoing professional development, a client-focused approach, support for public trust initiatives, and contributions to the advancement of the profession.

New CII firms

Among the firms receiving Chartered recognition between January and March 2025 is Eva Capital Management, a Worcester-based boutique wealth management company founded in 2020 by Hannah Edwards. The firm offers a range of services focused on private client financial advice.

Also recognised was Ocaris Wealth Management, established in 2021 and headquartered in Ferndown, Dorset. The company said that it provides financial advisory services grounded in a principle-based approach to client relationships.

One Four Nine Wealth, part of the broader One Four Nine Group, secured Chartered status as well. Operating across the UK, the firm has grown through acquisitions, including Castlegate Capital, with reported assets under management exceeding £1.6 billion.

Parker Kelly Financial Services, based in Liverpool, was founded in 1994 by Ian Parker and Paul Kelly. The firm provides financial advice services to clients across the North West of England.

Path Financial Ltd, headquartered in Battle, East Sussex, also joined the Chartered community. The firm positions itself as an ethical financial adviser and operates as a Certified B Corporation, offering investment services focused on socially responsible outcomes.

Sentio Insurance Brokers, located in Droitwich, Worcestershire, was also granted Chartered status. The privately owned brokerage provides insurance solutions to commercial and personal clients and functions as an appointed representative of Movo Partnership Ltd.

Nicola Stacey, president of the CII, said the Chartered designation represents a clear and public commitment to professionalism and is part of broader efforts to foster public trust in insurance and financial planning.

As of 2024, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has granted corporate Chartered status to over 700 insurance and financial planning firms across the UK.

In the latter part of 2024, seven firms achieved this status, including Augustine Limited, Avoca Wealth Management Ltd, Better Financial Planning, Park Insurance Ltd, Sedulo Wealth Management, SGM Financial Management Ltd, and Suttons Independent Financial Advisors Ltd.
