Starting January 01 next year, the seasoned insurance executive will serve as group chief financial officer and executive director at the Kent-headquartered firm. Quin, who brings nearly three decades of experience, succeeds Jonathan Hill who resigned in March 2018 with six months’ notice.
“I’m really pleased to be joining Saga and look forward to working with the management team to build upon recent investments and initiatives which will support the next exciting chapter for the business,” commented the incoming CFO.
Group chief executive Lance Batchelor is “delighted to have recruited someone of James’s experience and calibre.”
Batchelor noted: “He has extensive strategic, investor, and operational finance experience within the insurance industry and will be a valuable member of the leadership team as we target investment in new customer acquisition to deliver long-term value for the group.”
Meanwhile over at Zurich UK, taking over Quin’s role is Helen Pickford, whose promotion adds to its women representation in the executive team. Pickford joins UK chief executive Tulsi Naidu and UK chief underwriting officer Hayley Robinson.
