Noel Marriott (pictured) has come onboard 140-year-old independent insurance broker Russell Scanlan – joining his spouse, Russell Scanlan commercial manager and Nottingham Insurance Institute president Joanne Marriott, who has been with the East Midlands firm since last November.
“Jo has nothing but positive feedback to share about the directors at Russell Scanlan who are a very present and positive force within the business,” said the new senior executive, who made the switch from Autonetic Insurance and Pension Services. “So, when this opportunity came up it was an easy decision for me.”
The key hire also highlighted: “Director Simon Winiarski was my mentor back in the very early days of my career at a previous insurance broker and we have kept in touch ever since. The business has always been front of mind for me.
“Russell Scanlan has a great reputation and is widely known as a forward-thinking modern broker with traditional values when it comes to client servicing, and that’s a really good fit for me. The fact that it serves a wide range of clients across multiple sectors from construction to the motor trade is an added draw.”
Additionally, Marriott believes Russell Scanlan’s independent status allows for a nimbleness and quick response to new issues and industry developments.
Meanwhile, Winiarski had this to say: “Really could not be more pleased to welcome Noel to the team. This has been a conversation ongoing for quite some time, that might have been concluded a little earlier – but the pandemic set such plans aside for a while.
“I have known him longer than I care to remember, so I already know that he will fit with the existing team dynamic and the credentials and experience that he will bring will be invaluable. This is just the right time to be investing in skilled team members who can lead by example and become crucial ambassadors for the business.”
Established in 1881, Russell Scanlan is the longest established insurance broker in Nottingham.
