There’s a new face at Nottingham-based brokerage Russell Scanlan – but one that will be familiar to many within the insurance industry.
Darren Swinson (pictured) has joined the Wellington Circus firm, bringing with him close to 30 years’ experience across the private client insurance sector. He is well-known in the local area too, having previously worked for JRT Insurance in the same city.
Now, in his new day-to-day role, he will be responsible for renewing accounts and answering enquiries as he takes up the position of private client account handler.
“My first interview out of college was at Russell Scanlan, unfortunately I didn’t get the position then so I am delighted to have come full circle and return here so many years later,” he said. “Russell Scanlan has always had an excellent reputation and I’m excited to be joining the team.
“As a CII certified professional, joining a chartered firm is an exciting opportunity. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and I am already settling in well. I am looking forward to getting stuck in to the role, building relationships with my clients and the rest of the team.”
Speaking about Swinson’s arrival, Mike Dickinson, the sales and marketing director at the city’s longest established insurance firm, pointed to his dedication and hard work.
“His experience will be invaluable in our private client team,” he said. “He is an excellent addition to the company and we look forward to seeing his achievements over the coming months and years.”
