It looks like Nottingham’s Russell Scanlan is on a roll.
January saw the independent insurance broker create a business protection and healthcare division as well as launch a bespoke legal expenses insurance scheme for commercial pilots and aircrew… now the Wellington Circus-based enterprise has added a new role to its roster amid expansion plans.
The latest recruit is Olivia Whiteley (pictured), who brings 13 years of industry experience and will serve as commercial account handler for mid-corporate insurance.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Russell Scanlan, which has an excellent reputation within the industry both across the East Midlands and further afield,” commented Whiteley, who has worked in mid-corporate insurance for the last three years. The executive started out as a personal lines handler before moving into SME coverage.
She added: “The company is known for being a great place to work and very encouraging towards staff – the low turnover of staff here is testament to that. The team has made me feel very welcome already and I’m looking forward to working across and developing their wide and varied client base.”
Whiteley was recently presented with her Advanced Diploma in Insurance qualification by the Nottingham Insurance Institute.

Founded by Patrick Scanlan in 1881, the Chartered Insurance Broker is the longest established broking firm in Nottingham.
