RSA is stepping up its digital game with the recruitment of a new leader from industry giant Zurich.
Steven Zuanella has been appointed as new group chief digital officer, RSA has announced. Starting on January 1, he will report to Darren Price, the company’s chief information officer.
Tasked with executing the group’s digital strategy, Zuanella will further develop RSA’s digital capacity and competences to meet evolving business strategy and customer requirements.
“I am delighted to be joining RSA at such an exciting point in its digital transformation journey,” Zuanella said.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Darren and the group executive to make RSA a true digital leading light in the insurance industry.”
Zuanella most recently served as chief digital officer of Zurich’s general insurance business in the UK. He was responsible for driving digital transformation worldwide – setting transition ambitions and identifying new digital centric commercial opportunities.
He was also previously the group digital and ecommerce director at
Bupa, head of online and ecommerce at Prudential and head of online strategy, online sales and value management at Barclays.
Commenting on the appointment, Price said Zuanella brings a “deep understanding of the digital world and financial services expertise.”
“We look forward to leveraging Steven’s industry experience and knowledge to help us realise our ambition to become a digital leader in the insurance industry,” Price said.
