Colin Bradbury, who joined RSA as an underwriting apprentice in 1977, is bidding farewell to the insurer next year.
Succeeding the four-decade veteran as chief underwriting officer for RSA UK & international’s commercial risk solutions (CRS) is Mandy Hunt (pictured), who has been with the firm since the ‘90s and currently serves as managing director of subsidiary Insurance Corporation of the Channel Islands (ICCI). Bradbury is retiring in July 2019 but Hunt will take over as CUO this year when the handover period begins on October 01.
“After an extensive search, I am delighted Mandy will be joining the CRS executive team having accepted the position of CUO within CRS,” commented CRS managing director Rob Gibbs. “Mandy has made a strong and positive impact at ICCI, leading the business to its recent accreditation as a chartered insurer.
“Having held various roles across the UK with RSA for the past 20 years, Mandy brings a wealth of experience to her new role.”
Describing the outgoing executive as “a highly respected underwriter and leader within RSA,” Gibbs said he is pleased that Bradbury is staying for another 12 months to ensure a smooth transition. Meanwhile the recruitment process for Hunt’s replacement as ICCI MD is ongoing.
