Non-executive director (NED) Alastair Barbour is stepping down from the board of RSA Insurance Group.
Barbour, RSA said in a regulatory filing, has informed the firm of his intention to leave sometime around October 09 – the ninth anniversary of the NED’s appointment.
“Alastair has made an immense contribution to the company both in his capacity as a non-executive director and also as chair of the group audit committee,” noted RSA chair Martin Scicluna.
“His wisdom, professionalism, and expertise have been invaluable to the board, finance and senior management teams. On behalf of the whole board, I would like to thank Alastair for the outstanding contribution he has made; we wish him every success for the future.”
Replacing Barbour as chair of the group audit committee in October is Clare Bousfield, who is joining the board come April.
