Romero Insurance Brokers has a new face – former Leeds Rhinos player and now director of rugby Kevin Sinfield (pictured).
Former England rugby league captain Sinfield, who gained renown for his kicking skills, is now a partner of the commercial insurance brokerage, and will appear in a series of interviews on Romero’s website, covering topics such as loyalty, determination and resilience.
According to a statement by Romero, the relationship began with Sinfield and Romero CEO Justin Romero-Trigo meeting on the golf course and forming a friendship over their shared outlook on business, life and sport.
Sinfield recently ran seven marathons in seven days, raising £2.7 million in donations for his friend and former teammate Rob Burrow, who is battling motor neurone disease.
“Kevin’s attitude to life, his uniquely successful playing career, his responsibilities as director of rugby and his positive outlook each struck a chord with the team at Romero,” the company said in a statement. “There are stark similarities which mirror Romero’s growth and ethos. The matched values of loyalty, determination and resilience were clear to see. It’s the key reason why Kevin Sinfield became a Romero partner; to show the joint commitment to these essential values.”
