Financial services regulatory consultancy firm Bovill has appointed former PwC senior manager Twewah Marfo to its newly established insurance and governance team.
In her new role, Marfo will be responsible for developing and delivering Bovill’s insurance and governance services to clients.
Marfo said the company will support insurers, brokers and intermediaries in areas such as implementation of the Insurance Distribution Directive, embedding the risk management and systems of governance requirements of Solvency II and managing the risk of financial crime.
Marfo has held a number of high-profile positions in her 15-year career in financial regulation and compliance. Her previous roles include senior manager at PwC and lead supervisor at the major insurance groups department of the Prudential Regulation Authority.
“Twewah’s experience makes her ideally placed to build on Bovill’s regulatory expertise to create new opportunities for firms across the financial services sector,” said Bovill chief executive Ben Blackett-Ord.
“The Brexit vote means that key legislation affecting the industry, such as the Insurance Distribution Directive, will likely be impacted,” he added. “We are excited to be expanding our offering to include insurance and governance and are delighted to have Twewah on the Bovill team.”
