Any insurance executive starts somewhere – and a debt-free, wage-paying BA Hons Insurance degree sounds like a good way to jumpstart a career.
Be Wiser Insurance, which initially rolled out the unique scheme in 2016, is now looking for Hampshire students for this year’s intake. Those finishing their A-levels this summer may apply to be part of the programme that will run at Peter Symonds College in Winchester.
Accredited by the University of Chichester, the scheme will see participants earning £18,000 in the first year. Be Wiser said the salary will be up to £28,000 at the end of the three-year degree.
Meanwhile the student loan will be repaid by the Andover-based broker on successful completion of the course and final placement within the growing firm.
“We are passionate about training the next generation of insurance professionals and by offering this degree we can attract high-quality candidates and in return they will earn while they learn,” said HR director Jo Newman, who described Be Wiser as the first financial services company to offer a degree programme combined with relevant work experience.
