Ramon International board member and former international head Lee Ellis (pictured) has become chief strategy officer at the independent Lloyd’s broker.
“In the past 18 months we’ve acquired, established, and partnered to create a truly international business,” said Ellis, who has been with the brokerage since 2021. “Critical to our future success will be developing cohesive strategies that align our operations.
“In a very short time, we have gone from being a single office London broker to a diversified international group. Our expansion has materially changed our identity and the opportunities open to us.”
The RFIB and Guy Carpenter alumnus is also assuming board roles across the company’s international operations and appointed representative businesses, according to an emailed release.
Group chief executive Nick Andrews commented: “As we continue to grow our group there is an increased need for strategy formulation and developing the corporate vision. Lee’s experience in these areas and of operating in international markets will prove invaluable in delivering our strategic growth plans going forward.”
Ellis has more than two and a half decades of London and international insurance markets experience.
