Qlaims has announced that it has named Simon Fenwick (pictured) as its new chief operating officer.
Fenwick has more than 20 years’ experience in the UK general insurance market. He joins Qlaims from Hastings Direct, where he led the company’s insurer business development and system integrations.
“It is fantastic time to join Qlaims,” Fenwick commented on his appointment. “The business is growing strongly, and I’m delighted to be here to support and lead the operational delivery, laying foundations for the future.”
Fenwick added that Qlaims has “some exciting developments underway,” and that he looks forward to working with the rest of the team, as well as the managing general agent’s broker and insurer partners – “to ensure that [Qlaims delivers] effective, superior claims processes for [its] clients.”
“Since our launch in 2020, Qlaims has gone from strength to strength,” said Qlaims CEO Liz Latter. “We have trading relationships with well over 100 brokers now, two products live and some exciting plans coming to fruition for our proposition. The expansion in our team underpins these growth plans and I’m so proud that all our new members share our passion at Qlaims to put the customer at the centre.”
Fenwick’s appointment comes after Qlaims named Sarah Romain as head of claims operations and Emma Milligan as partnership and success manager in the summer.
In May, Qlaims also named David Williams as a non-executive director. Williams is the former managing director of underwriting & technical services at AXA Insurance, with over 30 years of experience in general insurance.
