QBE has welcomed Anna Bennett (pictured above) as its new underwriting director for casualty in the UK.
Based in London, Bennett will report to Chris Wallace, executive director of UK insurance.
Bennett joined QBE in 2018 as the European operations divisional lead for multinational and portfolio manager in the UK casualty major risks team. She was most recently the interim director of underwriting for casualty since 2021.
She succeeds Matt Lacy, who has been appointed programme director for construction and multinational. In his new role, Lacy will play a key part in QBE Europe’s strategic growth and will report to Cecile Fresnaeu, managing director for insurance.
“I am delighted to be able to announce Anna’s permanent appointment to one of our major portfolios,” Wallace said. “As our casualty customers continue to operate in a challenging environment, Anna and her team will be focused on finding the best possible solutions for the risks they face.”
