As part of an ongoing growth strategy for the UK, QBE has appointed heads of trading for its key regional offices in the country.
Leading the regional underwriting teams are the following heads of trading:
Field and Wood were both regional casualty underwriting managers, while Round and Flannery previously served as regional motor underwriting manager and senior motor underwriter, respectively. Round has been with QBE for 12 years; Field, 25 years; Wood, 19 years; and Flannery, five years.
Aside from the abovementioned key locations, QBE UK also has regional offices in Belfast, Chelmsford, Glasgow, and Stafford. The insurer said a head of trading for Glasgow/Belfast will be announced in due course.
“We have gained real traction across all our regional offices, and these appointments will further strengthen our growth agenda,” said UK regions director Andy Fitzgerald in an emailed release. “I am delighted to make these appointments from within QBE, and I am sure these roles will further drive our leading service to brokers and customers in their local markets.
“We have an overall plan to materially grow in the UK through to 2027. These appointments will further strengthen our ambition to position the UK regions as a driving force behind our growth.”
The new trading heads will report to Fitzgerald.
