He’s a well-known name across the insurance industry and now John Blundell is set for a new task.
Blundell has been revealed as non-executive director for Pulse Insurance, with effect from the beginning of this month. Blundell is well known for his time at the likes of Sterling Insurance Group, St Andrew’s Group and Ecclesiastical Insurance.
“John has achieved sustained, profitable growth at each of the insurance companies that he has led and this experience will be of terrific value to Pulse in fulfilling plans to grow in the UK and Europe,” said Pulse chairman Paul Sandilands.
His arrival comes as Pulse looks to expand its services and product range – it has recently established a specialty team and completed the acquisition of STB Insurance Brokers.
“John’s experience will also ensure that the prerequisites for growth are in place,” added managing director Torquil McLusky. “We will welcome his input concerning strong corporate governance, internal controls and risk management. We want to continue to grow a company that is compliant but that is nimble, agile and non-hierarchical. We intend to keep adding staff who fit with that culture.”
