Hiscox announced Hamayou Akbar 'Aki' Hussain will be on board as group chief financial officer in the second half of 2016.
Previously, Hussain worked for Prudential plc for seven years, most recently serving as CFO of Prudential UK & Europe. He is currently part of the board of the Prudential Assurance Company Ltd, the main UK insurance operating company.
A chartered accountant, Hussain lends Hiscox his 20 years of experience in overseeing its investments. After he fulfils his contractual obligations, he will join the Hiscox board.
Hussain has held a number of senior roles in the finance, telecoms, and media industries. He was finance director for the consumer bank division at Lloyds Banking Group until 2009, and prior to that, he was finance director for the consumer division of NTL (now Virgin Media) until 2006.
