There has been a double appointment at ProSight Specialty Insurance – with the company revealing a new finance director and a new deputy active underwriter.
Philip Green (pictured) joins from Advent Capital Holdings where he was chief financial officer to take over the role of finance director. He has an extensive career in insurance having held senior roles with both Amlin Plc and AEGIS London.
His appointment coincides with the arrival of Jonathan Kennet, who was most recently head of global fidelity for
AIG and was based in New York. He will take the role of deputy active underwriter at ProSight Specialty.
Kennet boasts 30 years’ experience in the general insurance market including senior underwriting roles with
Munich Re,
Chubb and
Zurich International in London focused on financial institutions. At AIG, he led the company’s global crime insurance portfolio and held responsibility for underwriting strategy, product innovation and business development of this specialty.
“These appointments are very much about enhancing our underwriting capabilities and depth of our financial management,” said Michael Furgueson, managing director of ProSight’s managing agency. “Phil brings deep financial experience, particularly at Lloyd’s and within international insurance groups while Jonathan is focused on improving our underwriting technical capabilities and boosting growth.”
Both men are well respected in the London and international markets and their appointments are said to add significant weight to the company’s offering in London.
