Managing general agent (MGA) Prestige Underwriting has announced the expansion of its non-standard product offerings and its enhanced presence on the Applied Systems platform with the launch of its new non-standard motor insurance product.
With this enhancement, brokers using Applied software now have streamlined access to Prestige Underwriting’s non-standard motor and home insurance products.
The MGA explained that these enhanced products are tailored to address niche and growing risks in the UK market.
The extended partnership provides brokers with a flexible and comprehensive solution for various risk types, including coverage for high-performance and imported vehicles, as well as policies for drivers with poor driving histories or motoring convictions.
Tim Baxter (pictured above), head of broker development & partnerships at Prestige Underwriting, stated that the company aims to simplify business processes for brokers.
“Our collaboration with Applied Systems allows brokers to engage with us more quickly and efficiently, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and conversion success for our partners,” Baxter said.
Chris Moseley, vice president of insurer solutions at Applied Systems Europe, also remarked on the importance of connecting insurers with brokers as the non-standard market grows in the UK.
“As the non-standard market continues to expand in the UK, it is essential for insurers to connect easily with brokers and provide competitive, up-to-date quotes. We are thrilled that Prestige Underwriting is now fully operational and trading on our panel with its outstanding non-standard motor product,” Moseley said.
Elsewhere, Prestige Underwriting has also announced a partnership with Tesco Bank, with the collaboration to offer Coverall, a non-standard home insurance policy designed for customers of the bank who have unique circumstances and requirements.
“We will offer customers, through our Open & Direct brand, access to a suite of established insurance solutions developed by Prestige Underwriting, providing flexibility and choice for those individuals with extraordinary requirements,” Baxter said of the partnership.
