Prestige Underwriting has partnered with Ardonagh Advisory to expand access to non-standard insurance products.

As part of the agreement, the MGA will serve as a preferred non-standard household partner for Ardonagh Advisory’s network of brokers, including Bravo Networks, Ethos Broking and Towergate. The aim is to provide brokers with insurance solutions for complex risks.

Ardonagh Advisory’s brokers will gain access to Prestige Underwriting’s range of products, including Coverall non-standard household insurance, short-term unoccupied property insurance, thatched home insurance, non-standard commercial vehicle cover and non-standard motor insurance.

Reinforcing market positions

Tim Baxter, head of broker development & partnerships at Prestige Underwriting, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to innovation in non-standard insurance. He stated that working with Ardonagh Advisory would help deliver flexible solutions that support brokers.

Phil Bayles (pictured), chief commercial officer at Ardonagh Advisory, said that Prestige Underwriting’s expertise complements Ardonagh’s focus on alternative insurance solutions.

Ardonagh Advisory operates a network of businesses across various sectors with both national and international reach. In a survey conducted by the company, about 79% of respondent brokers expect continued growth in the non-standard insurance market, primarily due to a projected increase in the number of customers entering into the market.

Committed long-term partnerships

The announcement follows Prestige Underwriting’s recent renewal of its capacity agreement with Aviva for another five years.

Last year, the company also expanded its non-standard product offerings on the Applied Systems platform with the launch of its new non-standard motor insurance product.

In 2023, the company signed a multi-year deal with Qlaims to include its insurance in the Prestige Underwriting Coverall Household Policy. Coverall, a non-standard home insurance policy, was developed through the company’s partnership with Tesco Bank.
