Pioneer Underwriters has snapped up Sam Bishop from HDI Global Specialty SE, where the electrical and electronic engineering Master’s degree holder was an underwriting manager in charge of the operational power portfolio.
Bishop joins Pioneer’s renewable energy team in London as an underwriter, bringing 10 years of industry experience. His credentials include time spent at STARR Underwriting Agents Limited as an underwriting associate in the technical risks department.
“Our dedicated renewable energy operation combines industry expertise with a broad underwriting remit to offer truly relevant insurance solutions,” said Graeme Rayner, group director of underwriting at Pioneer. “It is a growing area of our portfolio, and I am pleased to welcome Sam to the team.
