The future of NN Investment Partners (NN IP), the asset management operations of Netherlands-headquartered NN Group, currently hangs in the balance as the financial services parent reviews its strategic options.
In a release, NN Group said the undertaking is part of the company’s regular and thorough assessment of its individual businesses. It was highlighted that the goal is to pursue long-term value creation for the benefit of all parties.
“We are committed to conducting this process with the utmost diligence in the interests of all stakeholders, including customers, employees, and shareholders,” stated NN Group, which is examining options such as a merger, joint venture, or divestment. “We will update the market if and when appropriate.”
The investment unit specialises in fixed income, private debt, equity, and multi-asset solutions and has approximately €300 billion of assets under management.
NN Group explained: “The current review is aimed at assessing the opportunities to create a broader platform to enable NN IP to accelerate its growth.
“In considering different strategic alternatives, particular focus will be given to how NN IP can continue to provide the best investment offering and service to NN’s insurance business and asset management clients in a rapidly evolving industry.”
