Verlingue London Markets has launched Lloyd’s broker Verlingue London Markets Europe as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

Located in London, the new branch of French parent company SAS Verlingue will focus on providing placement and capacity solutions for European Union broker partners. It will cover key areas such as property, casualty, motor fleet, and specialist lines.

Meanwhile, Verlingue London Markets will continue to handle business from both UK and international broker partners.

Additionally, Verlingue has launched a dedicated marine division that will offer placement services across both Verlingue London Markets and Verlingue London Markets Europe.

Leadership for the widened business will remain with Barry Reynolds (pictured), the current executive director of Verlingue London Markets.

“We started this journey seven months ago when we rebuilt, reshaped, and relaunched our London Market offering,” Reynolds said. “This latest expansion is incredibly exciting and enables us to significantly extend our European capabilities for our clients and broker partners.

“With the support of the Verlingue Group, and our wider broker relationships, we’ve set out our ambition to become the market-leading Lloyd’s European Broker in London.”

A subsidiary of the Adelaide Group, Verlingue operates in multiple countries including France, the UK, Switzerland, Portugal, and Italy. The brokerage employs approximately 2,400 people across 35 regional offices.

Benjamin Verlingue, Adelaide Group chair, noted: “Our European group and international broker partnerships continue to successfully expand, and our ability to access the full expertise and capacity solutions of the Lloyd’s and London markets, is a key part of this plan.

“Our strategy has always been to protect our clients wherever they operate in the world. Our new group capability with Lloyd’s significantly enhances that capability.”
