Citynet Insurance Brokers has appointed Matthew Wadhams as account executive for its London market property/casualty division.
Wadhams – who has more than 16 years of experience in the London wholesale market – will help Citynet’s UK division maintain relationships and win new business. He will be responsible for bringing in new ideas and markets to wholesale property/casualty, as well as for placing difficult risks using his expertise and broking skills.
Prior to Citynet, Wadhams served as associate director at
JLT for over a decade. He was in charge of the day-to-day broking and handling of enquiries, and of overseeing the team and developing new agent and underwriter relationships.
“Matt is a great addition to the expanding team of quality brokers we have at Citynet,” commented Citynet chief executive Richard Scott. “With over 16 years’ experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and contacts with him which will help us achieve our ambitious growth targets.”
Managing director Andrew Walsh added: “We are delighted to welcome an individual of Matt’s calibre to Citynet. His reputation and experience within the UK property/casualty market will be invaluable to us as our footprint in this space continues to grow.”
Citynet, an independent Lloyd’s broker, supplies specialist products and services to insurance intermediaries throughout the UK and Ireland. The wholesale insurance broker places liability, property, professional indemnity, motor fleet, and various associated classes.
