MS Amlin is set to move on from the firm.
Group general counsel Bob Robinson will leave the company later this year after 11 years. Robinson originally joined Amlin as general counsel back in 2007 and was seen as a key figure in its growth and a number of acquisitions – as well as the sale to Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance back in 2016.
Charles Philipps, MS Amlin’s CEO, praised Robinson for the role he played at the company which included being involved in a number of significant cases for the wider London market.
“Bob has shown extraordinary commitment to MS Amlin over the past 11 years and he has been a trusted adviser both to management and the business,” he said. “He leaves a strong legal team in place, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours. We hope to work closely with Bob going forward and benefitting from his experience and legal skills.”
Robinson, meanwhile, described his time with the company as “a privilege.”
“However, after thirty years as a practising lawyer, it was time to change gears and I am looking forward to new and different challenges,” he added.
