Specialty insurance platform Mosaic Insurance is now led by two bosses.
The new industry player, which entered the market in February, has welcomed co-chief executive Mark Wheeler who joins Mitch Blaser at the helm.
“Mark Wheeler is a seasoned executive, Lloyd’s syndicate founder, and market-leading underwriter,” noted Mosaic.
“He has served in a variety of leadership roles, overseeing capital planning, underwriting, and distribution during his more than three decades of industry experience across global markets and product lines.”
Based in Bermuda, Wheeler and Blaser were both with Ironshore and Liberty Mutual Group.
Commenting on his arrival, Wheeler stated on LinkedIn: “I’m thrilled to rejoin my longtime friend, dynamo Mitch Blaser, in our new global venture Mosaic Insurance.
“Looking forward to being part of this terrific team and firm.”
Meanwhile, according to Mosaic’s separate announcement, the new co-CEO is “proud to be back” in the Bermuda and Lloyd’s markets.
Wheeler’s credentials include time spent as active underwriter for Novae predecessor Syndicate 1007; founder of Pembroke Managing Agency; and Ironshore International chief executive.
