Duffy who has also previously held roles at easyJet and Audi UK, started his career in banking, with positions at Barclays, Yorkshire Bank and TSB. His move follows the recent approval by the CMA of a planned merger between Just Eat and Takeaway.com.
According to Business Cloud, the chair of Moneysupermarket.com, Robin Freestone, said that the business is pleased to appoint Duffy due to his track record of experience in digital businesses and his dynamic leadership style. Freestone thanked Lewis for his leadership over the past three and a half years and said that Lewis and his team have set a clear strategy for the Group.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Moneysupermarket Group, a company I have always admired,” Duffy said. “We are here to save customers money, and with people facing so much uncertainty at the moment, this has never been more important. I’m really looking forward to working with the team on their exciting plans to bring more savings to more people.”
