The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has unveiled its strategic vision and mission for 2025. The organisation, which represents managing general agents (MGAs) across the UK and the Republic of Ireland, has also introduced a refreshed brand identity and updated its website.
The MGAA’s revised mission focuses on three core areas:
A key component of this strategy is the MGAA Next Gen Committee, which seeks to nurture young professionals within the MGA sector. The committee focuses on talent development through training, networking events, and contributions to wider MGAA initiatives, and announced a new chair at the end of January.
The MGAA currently boasts more than 430 members and accounts for more than £15.1 billion in underwriting capacity. Its CEO, Mike Keating, is eager to bolster the support the association offers.
“In 2025, we aim to further elevate our role as the trusted source in providing an improving range of member benefits which both meet the needs of all members today as well as addressing and identifying new opportunities and challenges,” he said. “The MGA community continues to thrive and the MGAA remains committed and focused to serve and assist all our members in meeting their business objectives.”
His words were backed by COO Julia Coakley. She highlighted the vibrancy of the market: the MGAA alone supports 64 market practitioners and 142 supplier members.
“Through initiatives like MGAA Next Gen, we are not only shaping the future of the MGA sector but also cultivating socially conscious and highly knowledgeable professionals,” she said.
The organisation also reported that, in 2025, 1,580 users completed training through its MGA Assess web-based learning system.
