The Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) has announced the appointment of Jade Wilcox (pictured), director of delegated authority for HDI in the UK, to its board.

Wilcox brings over 20 years of experience in the delegated authority space, with a focus on multi-class and multi-territory operations. Prior to joining HDI in 2021, she held the role of underwriting manager at Arch Insurance International for more than seven years. She also served as binding authority broker at Cooper Gay & Co and binding authority broker at Pioneer Underwriters.

In addition to her expertise in the field, Wilcox is well-versed in the technological solutions available to insurers for managing and mitigating risk.

“Jade is an excellent appointment to the board and brings significant experience in the delegated authority space, having already demonstrated her commitment and support for the MGA community for a number of years,” said MGAA CEO Mike Keating.

“Her expertise and knowledge of the MGA landscape and the operational issues facing MGAs will be invaluable as we continue to grow our membership and support and promote the MGA sector in the UK and Ireland. The addition of Jade to the board adds yet further strength and expert guidance to the association.”

With her appointment, Wilcox joins MGAA’s current board members:

  • MGAA chairman Charles Manchester
  • CEO Mike Keating
  • Jonathan Skinner of Jensten Group
  • Jeff Turner of Miramar Underwriting

  • Chris Collings of Markerstudy
  • Keith Stern of Lloyd’s
  • Marco Del Carlo from XS Assure
  • Lyndsey Thompson of IIGL
