Global claims services provider McLarens promoted Gavin Jackson (pictured) as head of Lloyd’s & London market.

Jackson will report to chief commercial officer Graham Smart and assume responsibilities previously held by David Pigot, director – London markets, who retired last year.

In his new role, Jackson will oversee a team focused on developing McLarens’ long-standing presence in the space. He will prioritise expanding claims solutions, particularly in the delegated claims authority sector, and within McLarens’ specialty divisions, including aviation, construction and engineering, crisis management, marine, natural resources and FAJ & Specie.

This promotion is part of McLarens’ broader efforts to strengthen its Lloyd’s and London market footprint. These efforts have included the recent appointment of Alistair Jacob as head of London International. Jackson will collaborate with Jacob and the London International adjusting team to support clients within the global insurance hub.

Jackson brings 14 years of experience in loss adjusting and claims management to the role. Since 2015, he has focused on account management for the Lloyd’s and London market, building relationships with insurers, reinsurers, syndicates, managing general agents (MGAs) and brokers. He has played a key role in ensuring effective communication across McLarens’ global operations, it was stated.

“I am delighted to announce Gavin’s promotion, which is a natural evolution and is very well deserved,” Smart commented. “The strength and depth of his connectivity within the industry are astonishing, and he is renowned for finding solutions to the most challenging of situations. He is relied on by many as a gateway to our global business, and I have no doubt that he will be a huge success in this new role.”

Meanwhile, Jackson said he was honoured to assume the role as he spends his fifth year with the business.

“I look forward to enhancing client engagement with our teams, supporting thought leadership and learning and development initiatives, and establishing trusted partnership status with all of our London-based clients,” he said.

McLarens said it continues to focus on expanding its service offerings within key markets as part of its global growth strategy.
