With the goal of making the insurance process “friction free,” MCE Insurance has introduced a new customer portal for its clients to access.
The new platform, developed in partnership with policy and claims software company ICE InsureTech Limited, allows customers to log into their accounts and download their insurance documents, as well as change their contact details and communication preferences. The portal was developed to be a customer-first system that is simple to navigate.
MCE Insurance says that the rollout of this new platform is the next phase of its policy system and quote form upgrade – it is the first of “many upcoming developments,” which include self-serve midterm adjustments, renewals, and other policy management features, the insurer said.
“We want to create a ‘Friction Free’ world of insurance for our customers and a market leading model,” said MCE Insurance CEO Julian Edwards. “For too long motorbike insurance customers have been bound by confusing processes and practices, difficult to understand jargon and long waits on the phone.”
Edwards added that through the new platform, MCE aimed to remove all the difficulty behind purchasing insurance, and put control of the policies into customers’ hands.
“As a broker of insurance, why wouldn’t we want to do that?” the chief executive stated.
