Insurance firm B E Thompson & Co has been sold to broker McClarrons following the retirement of 70-year-old Peter Thompson.

According to the report, the company director decided to retire after 64 years of trading in Richmond. Malton-based McClarrons, on the other hand, is looking at further expansion.
Managing director Sean McClarron commented, as quoted by the report: “With both ours and B E Thompson & Co’s experience and knowledge, existing and future clients can have peace of mind around their insurance.”
Established almost three decades ago, McClarrons is an independent insurance broker specialising in several niche markets.
