Insurance broking giant Marsh has made a series of internal hires for its UK-based placement leadership team.
Taking effect in the New Year, below are the senior appointments in London.

“These appointments underline Marsh’s commitment to developing global placement solutions that are at the forefront of the industry and offer clients alternative capacity amid often challenging market conditions,” John Donnelly, global head of placement at Marsh, said in a release.
“These promotions are also testament to the breadth and depth of our industry-leading talent and expertise across the firm.”
Donnelly himself was recently promoted to his global post, having previously served as Asia-Pacific placement head in Australia. Announced in November, Donnelly’s appointment meant a move to the UK.
Meanwhile Chris Lay, CEO of Marsh McLennan UK, commented: “Tom is a trusted leader who, over the course of his career, has built incredibly strong relationships with clients and the underwriting community in the UK market and globally.
