Markerstudy will launch later this year a new commercial venture, Guild Business Insurance, which aims to provide broker partners with substantial added value in the commercial lines market.
 
Taking off in September, Guild Business Insurance will be focused on growing rated commercial products specifically aimed at businesses through a dedicated team based in Whitstable.
 
The new commercial offering will include three distinct distribution categories, catering for large to small books of business, specialising in the acceptance of risks that are unusual or non-standard, and that are often difficult or time-consuming to place.
 
Guild Business Insurance will be headed by group commercial director Martyn Holman, who has significant plans to grow the commercial division. It will be supported by Stuart Dickinson, head of commercial, and Jim Wylie, broker manager.
 
Holman said: “We have some of the most experienced people in the industry able to provide support in this area and that we can bring something unique to brokers looking for products that require specific understanding that might be lost elsewhere.”

“We are bold in our plans for Guild and extremely confident that what we are able to offer is unavailable elsewhere in the market,” he added.
