Manchester Underwriting Management is continuing to strengthen its regional operations with a double swoop for two new arrivals from major insurer
QBE.
The company announced earlier today that both Antony Broome and Pat Wood will be joining the firm’s newly created casualty division as joint managing directors.
Broome, who will be based at the company’s new Manchester office, has worked in the industry for more than 27 years, is a specialist in casualty and professional indemnity insurance, and worked for DA Constable (Syndicate 386) which became part of QBE.
Meanwhile, Wood, who officially joins next week and will be based in London, has more than 26 years in the industry and also worked at DA Constable and QBE.
According to Charles Manchester, the duo will be working on the company’s specialty casualty products which will be launched soon.
“Manchester Underwriting Management is about providing brokers with quality products, fantastic service and first class security,” he said. “Our underwriters make decisions and we provide a great claims service.
“It is great to have Antony and Pat on board, they have great reputations and are respected and well known in the market. Their approach to business fits with the MUM ethos.”
