Mark Langridge, an executive director at Randall & Quilter (R&Q) since January 2018, is stepping down effective December 13.
The major name, whose career within the London insurance industry began in 1980, served as CEO of R&Q Insurance Services Ltd and the R&Q insurance investments division prior to his current board post.
After next week, Langridge will continue in an executive role advising on claims and reinsurance matters for the group’s legacy firms on a part-time basis. He will also continue as a director of a number of R&Q subsidiary companies for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile the remit shift will see the senior management team of R&Q’s legacy division report directly to joint group chief executive Roger Sellek.

“I am grateful to Mark for his years of valuable contribution to the development of the group and especially for his leadership of our legacy business,” commented R&Q chair Ken Randall.
“He has a deep understanding of the particular challenges involved in managing claims exposures and related reinsurance protections arising from long-tail casualty business, and I am therefore very pleased that he has agreed to continue working with us on a part-time basis going forward.”
Langridge part-owned insurance run-off services provider KMS Group before it was acquired by R&Q in 2008.
