Gallagher (AJG) has expanded its aviation industry expertise with the hiring of London market stalwarts Mark Champion and Paul Rogers as divisional directors.
The two industry veterans bring decades of combined market experience to propel AJG in the aviation market, which has become “arguably more challenging than ever,” according to aviation executive director Mark Walters.
“To win out in such a tough market, you need to invest in the best. And there are few more experienced than Mark and Paul, or held in higher regard by clients,” Walters said.
“The longevity and strength of market relationships they have built and their continued focus on providing a personalised, innovative and responsive end-to-end client service make them ideally suited to join our team,” he added.
Rogers boasts 40 years of experience in the London market while Champion’s career spans more than 30 years.
Champion joined Gallagher after most recently serving as regional director for Continental Europe at Willis Towers Watson, where he was responsible for the aerospace division’s budget. He also managed a large portfolio of clients as a risk placement specialist to the airline industry, focusing on European Airlines.
Rogers, meanwhile, will move to AJG later in the summer, coming also from Willis where he was both executive director and client advocate serving the aviation sector.
