Lockton is already the world’s largest privately owned insurance broker and now it is expanding on Scottish turf with a new Aberdeen office and four new hires.
The company has taken a lease on a high-end office suite in the Westhill business district as it looks to expand its presence in Europe’s oil capital and grow its regional footprint. The office is 2,250sq ft and will be occupied from next month. Among those who will take up office there are Steven Cox (pictured), Keith Miller and Euan McKenzie – three recent account executive hires from
Marsh.
“Our commitment to a new Aberdeen property lease and the recruitment of key staff represents a serious vote of confidence by Lockton in the Aberdeen, Scottish and UK markets at a time which has been marked both by the downturn of the oil sector and by the uncertainties of Brexit,” said Ian Cooper, head of Lockton’s regional business.
The new recruits don’t end there, however, with the company also announcing four new hires today – account managers Moira Presley, Alison Spink and Gillian McGruther, all from Marsh, as well as Gordon
Henderson from
Aon.
