There is a new arrival at Litmus Analysis, the insurance analysis firm, in the form of Tom Gleis.
Gleis takes up the role of head of market development at Litmus Analysis having tallied up 35 years’ experience working in the European markets for both carriers and brokers.
Gleis began his career in the 1980s working for Greig Fester and
Sedgwick reinsurance brokers. During the late 1990s he was responsible for European market development at Amlin and in 2002 he joined
QBE Re.
He has also gained extensive senior management experience, holding board positions at both QBE Re London and BMS International brokers and was an executive director at Willis Re prior to joining
Guy Carpenter – his most recent role – where he was managing director, reporting to the CEO in Munich.
Speaking about the appointment, Litmus founder Peter Hughes, outlined what a key role Gleis could play in the future of the company.
“Tom is an outstanding addition to the Litmus team,” he said. “With our enhanced re/insurer profiling service LitmusQ now supporting reinsurance underwriting and broking as well as market security, Tom’s background, experience and contacts make him ideally placed to help us introduce this to the market. In addition, he will help lead the growth of our well established consulting business.”
