The London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA) has today appointed a trio of deputy chairs to serve alongside BMS’s Nick Cook, who was elected deputy chair in 2019.
The appointees have been named as Ed Broking’s Heather Clarkson (pictured), Aon’s James Baum and Marsh Specialty UK’s Dominic Samengo-Turner. In a Press release, LIIBA’s chair Alastair Swift noted that they are three “exceptionally talented and well-respected” representatives of both global and wholesale brokers who share a desire to advocate for positive change.
“I’m delighted they’ve accepted these roles,” he said. “Both individually and collectively, they are a tremendous asset to London’s broking community.”
LIIBA’s deputy chairs form the trade body’s executive committee - the primary source of counsel for both its chair and chief executive. Clarkson who serves as executive director, specialty, at Ed Broking is the first woman to hold the deputy chair role at LIIBA.
