The ties between the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA) and the London Market Group (LMG) continue to grow stronger.
The latter has now added Alastair Swift (pictured), head of corporate risk and broking at GB Willis Towers Watson to its board. He is one of the elected members chosen to represent LIIBA in the set-up.
“Alastair Swift brings a decade of experience at Willis Towers Watson and will be able to give us valuable input from one of the largest organisations in the broker marketplace,” said Matthew Moore, chair of the LMG. “He has also served as deputy chairman of LIIBA for the past three years, and so has a clear understanding of what trade bodies such as ours can and should be doing on behalf of this industry. We are delighted that he has agreed to join the board.”
His arrival comes shortly after the LMG rolled out a new platform for coverholders which received strong backing from LIIBA. LIIBA CEO Christopher Croft described the development as good news for business partners around the world.
