One of the top names in the London-based terrorism team at
Sompo Canopius has made the switch to a rival firm.
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), has swooped for Jennie Beard (pictured), who will take on the new role of senior underwriter – war and terrorism. She will be based in the company’s London headquarters reporting to the firm’s underwriting manager – war and terrorism, Paul Beattie.
“With the solid growth in war and terrorism business we’re seeing, we are expanding our underwriting team in order to better serve our brokers and clients,” commented Michael Burle, LSM’s head of marine. “Jennie is a well-respected market practitioner and has a strong track record in this sensitive and complex line of business. Her arrival gives us real strength in depth plus additional insight into key territories.”
In her previous role at Sompo Canopius, Beard was responsible for writing a global account including several major corporate clients.
